Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, DOIs or URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- An SAH copyright and warranty form will have to accompany your submission. Authors are responsible for obtaining any security clearances. All authors have to sign the copyright transfer form. The signed copyright form has to be scanned and uploaded by using the corresponding Supplementary files upload interface on the website.
- Journal allowing authors to deposit versions of their work in an institutional or other repository of their choice.
Copyright Notice
Authors who wish to publish materials in Sport and Health must agree to the following terms:
1. Authors permit Sport and Healthto issue the first publication under a Creative Commons license Attribution International 4.0 (CC BY-NC).
2. Authors may enter into additional contracts for the non-exclusive dissemination of versions of articles published in Sport and Health provided that the initial publication in Sport and Health is mentioned (for example for subsequent publications in anthologies, books or open access repositories).
3. Authors warrant that:
- the article is original and has neither been published in any other journal nor is under consideration by any other journal.
- the article does not infringe any existing copyright or any other third party rights.
- the article contains nothing that is unlawful, libellous, or which would, if published, constitute a breach of contract or of confidence or of commitment given to secrecy.
Privacy Statement
Names and email addresses entered on this journal's website will be used solely for the purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
The responsibility for the technical content and protection of proprietary material rests solely with the author(s) and their organizations, and it is not the responsibility of the publisher, the journal, or its editorial staff.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all other authors have seen the article and have approved it.
Authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for the publication of copyright-protected material used in the manuscript before submission.
Authors are required to sign a copyright agreement and rights transfer agreement upon the acceptance of their manuscript, prior to the manuscript being published.
Plagiarism Policy
The journal takes issues of copyright infringement, plagiarism or other breaches of best practice in publication very seriously. We seek to protect the rights of our authors and we always investigate claims of plagiarism or misuse of published articles. Equally, we seek to protect the reputation of the journal against malpractice.
